What Is It?
Information Technology Services (ITS) contracted with AT&T
Language Line Services to provide over-the-phone language interpretation
services for over 150
languages at the best rates researched.
AT&T Language Line Services give you quick access to an interpreter who can
help you communicate with associates of other languages.
How does it work?
In short you will need to contact the Penn State Operator at 865-4700 and supply the following information:
- Your Name
- Your Phone Number
- The budget/fund/project information for the use of language services (rates
are below)
- The language you need interpreted
- The telephone number (if you are calling out to an associate)
The Penn State Operator will then put you on hold while he/she contacts the
AT&T Language Line Services interpreter. Once confirmations and
approvals are processed (approx 30-40 seconds) the Penn State operator will
then conference you with the AT&T interpreter.
You may now communicate with the individual.

Monday - Friday 5am-5pm Spanish

Nights/Weekends/Holidays*

New Year's Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day,
Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day
Long-Distance International Usage rates are not included
Language Line Services is strictly CONFIDENTIAL. All interpreters are
bonded and sign a strict code of ethics confidentiality agreement.
