Free Weekend Computer Seminars Available this Spring

The Center for Academic Computing and Center for Education Technology Services are sponsoring free weekend computer seminars for the Penn State community. The seminars will provide opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to learn basic topics such as Eudora, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Web page design. These hands-on seminars are taught in the Wagner Computer Training Facility in the new dual platform lab, so both Macintosh and Windows users will be able to participate. Seminars are presented in an informal setting by qualified student instructors. No registration is necessary to attend, however, participants should make sure they have an active Penn State Access Account. Come for one of the introductory seminars and stay for the more advanced topics and an Open House, where you can receive one-on-one assistance. For a complete listing of seminars topics, dates, and times, click on the "Weekend Seminars" link on the Training Group Web page, http://cac.psu.edu/training.
