Faculty Invited to April 8 Symposium for Teaching and Learning with Technology


Faculty are invited to attend the Penn State Symposium for Teaching and Learning with Technology: A Symposium of Faculty Excellence (http://its.psu.edu/training/stltday/). The free event will take place Saturday, April 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Thomas Building at University Park. Lunch will be provided. At the symposium, Penn State faculty will share their most innovative, effective uses of technology to enhance teaching and learning. Keynote speaker will be Henry Jenkins III, DeFlorz Professor of Humanities and director of MIT Comparative Media Studies (http://web.mit.edu/cms/). Jenkins has extensively studied media and the ways that people incorporate media into their lives. He is one of the founders and directors of the Education Arcade, which is examining the educational potential of computer and video games.
