Penn State Cellular Services for Students

AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile offer discounted service to University students. Responsibility for personal services remains with the individual, not the University. University students who have existing cellular service with AT&T, Sprint or T-Mobile should contact their service provider to verify if they are eligible for discounts.

AT&T Wireless

Effective October, 2009, increased equipment discounts

Benefits include:
10% discount on eligible rate plans
50% discount off equipment or best Premier promotion pricing with new activations.  Equipment discount available on most voice devices, but is not available on wireless accessories, data-only devices, iPhones and most PDAs.*
Other special seasonal discounts when available
One-year and two-year contracts available
Equipment upgrades every 10 months for 1 year-contracts and every 22 months for 2-year contracts
Early Termination Fees apply

AT&T Wireless provides Students with an Extranet site to order equipment and service. For service and equipment rates and details, log in to Penn State Personal Cellular Discounts at https://webapps.moc.psu.edu/cellular/personal.cfm.

Students with existing service can register their lines for eligible discounts on-line at https://www.wireless.att.com/business/enrollment/ and can also be found on the right hand side of the Premier page under "Employee Discount Program."

AT&T retail stores can also provide discounted service to Students providing appropriate identification.

Individuals can also contact AT&T National Business Ordering at 1-888-444-4410 and provide the AT&T representative the following to order new service:

  1. Your name and Social Security Number
  2. Billing and shipping addresses
  3. Foundation Account Number (listed below)
  • 46316 (GSM-Students)

eCare Technical Support:
Users can visit http://www.wireless.att.com/businesssupport/ and get the same technical support on-line as you would through the other support channels when calling in through the telephone. This is a great tool for an end user, you do not need a log in or passcode.  If you use the chat to talk feature for assistance, you will need to provide an IMEI

STUDENTS WITH EXISTING SERVICE

Students with existing service with no discount can log in to Penn State Personal Cellular Discounts at https://webapps.moc.psu.edu/cellular/personal.cfm to obtain a form to request the discount for their account.   The contract will be automatically extended for two years by adding the discount. 

Students with new service with no discount can log in to Penn State Personal Cellular Discounts at https://webapps.moc.psu.edu/cellular/personal.cfm  to obtain a form to request the discount for their account.   There is a two-year contract with this option. 


Sprint provides "MySprint” for Student service.  When accounts are enrolled and set-up in "MySprint", students will be able to view accounts, make payments, and manage their accounts on-line.  To enroll in "MySprint", go to www.sprint.com and register for an account.
