Validators and Checkers

Bobby: to help Web page authors identify and repair significant barriers to access by individuals with disabilities.
The W3C's Validation Service: (A good place for novices to begin) checks documents like HTML and XHTML for conformance to the World Wide Web Consortium's Recommendations and other standards
Tyrantula: a set of tools for analyzing web sites, including services to analyze readability of text, to estimate download times, and to study how web sites are listed by search engines.
Dr. HTML: provides a number of site and page checks including link validation, HTML style analysis, and spell-checking.
