In the Master Document, how do I get Chapter 1 to begin on page 1?
After you have opened and expanded the text in your master document,
position the cursor on the first page of Chapter 1 and then
select
[Toolbox]>(Pagination)>(Set section Starting page #)

then set the "Start at" value to 1
When you do this, be sure to update all your table(s) of contents'
since all the page numbers will have changed.
How do I update the Table of Contents, List of Figures and List of Tables?
The Table of Contents, List of Figures and List of Tables
are all actually three different tables of contents.
The are generated using a Word TOC field and thus can be updated whenever
you are in the expanded Master Document. To update, select
[FrontMatter]>(Update Table of Contents)
Press OK to the information given
Press function key F9
Select "Update entire table"
