    Discussion

    • Select a text phrase in one of your thesis files when you want to [Add] it to your Autotype list. For example:
      ... frequently used phrase ...
Press Alt+H or the [Menu...] item [A] on the Autotype Toolbar to invoke the Autotype Menu. [image]
    • An unformatted form of your text selection is shown in window [B] which you can then request to be added to any of the positions in the Autotype menu by selecting the position in the window [C].

    • When you then [Add] the entry an unformatted, possibly abbreviated, subset of the text is added to the Autotype toolbar [D] in the corresponding position based on your choice in [C].

From this point on you can then press the item [D] on the Autotype toolbar and the phrase will be formatted in your text at the current position of the insertion pointer:

      ... frequently used phrase| ... [image]
    • If you wish to conserve screen space, you can press the [Hide] button [E] on the Autotype toolbar which will hide any unused Autotype entrys. The corresponding [Show] button [F] will reveal the unused entrys.
