Purpose
To open a thesis file [A] from your thesis folder. The list presented is based on your settings and includes the file mapped titles [B] .

 

Method(s) to invoke

  • Automatically at Startup
  • Main Toolbar [Open]
  • [Files] > Open Thesis File...
  • Alt+O (shortcut)

    Discussion

    • [A] These are the actual filenames based on your thesis settings. The files themselves may or may not exist which will be indicated in the message at the bottom. The primary function of this menu is to select a file in [A] and then [Open] it. [image]

    • [B] Each file can have a corresponding title which you can assign so you can remember what the contents of the file is. [image]

    • The [Edit Title] button will enable the window [C] so you can enter/edit a file title. When you have entered the appropriate text, press the [Set Title] button. When you press the [Set Title] button, you are placed in this window so you can set/edit the Title for the corresponding File. [image]

    • The Master Document frame and the corresponding file [D] will only be available if you have created and saved a Master Document, e.g., ThesisMaster.doc, and all your thesis files are available. The master document file shown in the window can opened in either a condensed form (links only) or an expanded form (full text). [image]
